CONTEXT

For the Sartorial Survivor design project, I researched a range of military garments, with a focus on emergency life jackets and vests. These images and sketches influenced my design and the colour palette for my final collection. I used WGSN trend and colour research to tailor it to A/W 22 .

From my final 6 designs, I picked one of the tailored jackets and chose to make that. Extensive and detailed sampling was conducted through various methods as well through evaluating the whole process in my development journal. The end result consisted of a fully lined and finished toile (made in calico due to not having access to the chosen fabrics because of Covid-19).
