In this project, I had a chance to explore and identify my own personal fashion illustration style. I selected the word 'Expressive' and conducted visual research and experimentation into the word. I practiced and played with my word, exploring a range of different illustrators who related to my word well as exploring different illustrative medias such as pencils, colour pencils watercolour, digital illustration (iPad) and chalk. The human body and the idea of realism in body and face structure was explored as well as different ways of creating skin and fabric textures.

My final outcome consisted of me mixing both realistic/detailed digital illustration with fluid watercolour illustration. From this research (shown on the boards below) I came up with a series of 3 contemporary fashion illustrations which compiled all the experimentation an research into one cohesive body of work.
